Procurement & Sourcing
Global sourcing has become a trend for many multinationals through both in-house sourcing and employing specialized agents. Procurement solutions include key functions of product development, production planning, product sourcing, and quality control. Offices are now set up decentralizing from head quarter to regional areas closer to in-house or OEM manufacturing plants.
Companies are now evolving from costs driven, transaction orientated strategy to a more value driven program-oriented approach. This approach ensures better communications from product conceptualization to finished product sustenance. Such globalization allows better efficiency and operation manufacturing control that bring partner OEM companies to global level field.
In the 1990s, the China manufacturing hub has attracted many companies to set up sourcing offices in Hong Kong and China. With the continuing growing manufacturing base, sourcing offices continue to grow in size and numbers. At the same time, client’s expectation of candidate’s requirements have been upgraded and the recruitment more demanding. Barons’ sources of experienced candidates have now been extended to a global level.
